Our Program

Our subjects are those that are enriching and engaging for both children and mothers. Our program riches are from various wonderful resources and curated by mothers who will be presenting the feast.

Hymns & Folk Songs
Hymns are rich with theological truths. We will focus on one hymn each month. We will also learn about the hymnist's life and inspiration for the chosen hymn following Happy Hymnody.

Folk songs offer a rich cultural tradition passed from generation to generation. We will learn one new folk song each month following the Ambleside Online schedule.

Composer and Artist Study
Mason says, "We aim at putting the children in touch with the great artist minds of all ages." Each term we will study one artist.

The work of the great composers not only stirs our emotions, but also brings us into contact with living ideas. Each term we will study one composer.

Shakespeare Block
Shakespeare will be read together with form 2 to form 4.

Form 1 will be engaged with the same play using either Tales From Shakespeare or Shakespeare Can Be Fun!

We will read 2 plays each year. We will end our year with a Shakespeare Showcase where students will get to perform some of their favorite portions of one of our plays.

Our Early Years friends will be engaged in A is for Art, story time, and play.

Plutarch Block
Plutarch's lives explore ideas of citizenship and character. During this time our form 2a through form 4 will study 1 or 2 lives.

Our year 4 students will whet their appetites as they are introduced to Mrs. Beesly's Stories of Rome.

FAQs for 2026-2027
1. Is there a cost to join the co-op?
There is a $100 fee per family each school year. Some supplies may need to be purchased.

2. When and Where do we meet?
Meetings are on Wednesdays from 12:15-3:15pm from September through May, with a winter rest term from December through mid-February. We will meet at a home in Northwest Meridian. The hope is for families to spend the "golden hours" in community after morning lessons.

3. Is every mother required to teach?
All subjects are led by mothers and we need each mom to support our efforts to bring the richness of the feast each week. This means that each mother will need to serve in some capacity on Wednesdays and will also have opportunities to serve through planning events etc.

4. Are there requirements for families?
Families who will best be served by this community are those implementing a Charlotte Mason education and who hold a traditional Christian worldview. All subjects will be led using the methods and practices of Mason. To cultivate a family atmosphere, mothers are asked to partake in the riches and lessons alongside children and to supervise them as needed. Our time will include lunch and fellowship before lessons and a short play time following our closing gathering.

Interested?
Thank you for showing interest in Ordo Amoris. The 2025-26 school year is closed, but at any point a family may fill out an interest form to join our waitlist for the next school year.
Please note that we are a small community and have a maximum capacity which means we have to be very intentional with new additions. Therefore, we ask for all families applying to have at least one student in form 3 or above. *specifically praying for families with girls in the 6th-8th grade range.
